In a time of silence and spectacle, this new anthem from Barking Justice Music is a rallying cry for the soul of a country—and the future it still owes its children.
I am speechless. Breath taking lyrics and bone chilling truth. Finally the fight exquisitely written with compassion and conviction, the elusive longing unspoken has been written for a new generation. I salute you.
Our fore fathers did not loose their lives for nothing. They had a dream to quote a man that lost his life for the sake of the people i still hold that dream dear we the people are still here and we are still interested in life liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all mankind not only for the richest people in our country.most importantly the USA is full of people who have immigrate blood . Only my grandfather was born of this land . And there’s been times he was told go back to your country. Omg. WHAT!!!!!!!
How did we let this happen? I think it should be rephrased, how did the GOP let this happen? the past few decades I’ve noticed legislation against middle-class America wasn’t an important issue for the GOP. It was maintaining relationships with the billionaires millionaires, or any of those who would donate for their next election. but that’s just a small part of it. Every election racism would show its ugly head by calling it illegal, immigration or illegal aliens. Always pointing to the south of our border for the problems the gop created. Lending to fear, hate, and nationalism, willing to destroying those people who come here to work the fields or do all the work that no Americans wants. to decimate them as an example of what could happen to the rest of us now. But, the GOP aren’t alone. I’ve watched the Democrats cater to one culture and change their whole platform to accommodate one culture by ignoring the other minority groups in the country and still calling it diversity. when it came to issues needed to protect the middle class, taxing the rich appropriately and other important issues for the middle class and people on the bottom of the social totem pole, The Dems were no where to be seen in the fight. Lots of lip service but no action. The only congress person with action was Bernie, then we watched how the establishment Dems silenced him despite his popularity.
When Trump became a presidential candidate, it was obvious to me what his intent by all those who surrounded him, and the foreign leaders they were visiting. But I’ve never seen a Party bend one knee to someone the way the GOP had. From the fear of impeaching him, or making him responsible for January 6 they all ran away with their tails between their legs, and without any recourse to what they were witnessing. Which brings to mind why? I believe during trumps first presidency, all or most GOP congressional leaders were all purchased by Putin’s oligarchs in the way of election finance. If you have one party, unwilling to honor their oath to the constitution and democracy, then we find ourselves in this position today.
This situation didn’t happen overnight, it’s been in the making for a few decades. We have to go back and follow the trail of racism and classism to find out why we ended up here today. Even within the Democratic Party, there are issues of race that still exist and no one seems to acknowledge.
I warned everybody about trumps candidacy, and everyone thought I was out of my mind. What was obvious to me wasn’t obvious to everyone else. Now, despite all our protest. I can’t say I’m confident in the results. And I have everything to lose.
This isn’t all of the reasons why we got here but politically, immigration was always an election issue to spew hate.
So very eloquently stated. You are absolutely correct. I too am not confident in the results because it seems no matter what we do it’s swept under the rug. And those in power regardless of party give lip service but continue to march down the same path. It makes me wonder if it’s all for show and if what happens behind closed doors is agreement then when the cameras are on their messages change to foster allegiance. Everyone treated Bernie as so radical but his ideals are grounded in humanity. But they wouldn’t benefit the feeding of the greedy engines. America is supported by the middle class it’s the way our economy thrives and survives. But the rich do not care if we fall because they won’t . Why are they all building bunkers so that they can retreat when the fall comes. With the loss of jobs already seen what do you think is going to happen when they get the power needed to fully integrate AI? The greed of corporations first outsourcing overseas for cheap labor and now replacing us with AI. Who will be the consumers when no one has the means to consume? Unfortunately the top 1% has the means to no longer care. I too have everything to lose so even when it feels like we are , WE cannot stop trying . Fear is the thief of dreams , and hope even a shred , is more powerful.
Having grown up in a border state surrounded by farmers and dairies, I concur wholeheartedly. I was quite a talker in school (never shut up 😁). The most common attempt to control me was surrounding me with boys who couldn't speak English yet because they were too new. Never worked, but as an adult, I see the racism that was behind it in many cases. I didn't care if they could understand me and I certainly did NOT look down on them. I've seen the real immigrants trying to find a safer, better life. I support them getting legal status because I am grateful for them. We'd be screwed without immigrants
I love this & thank you we can’t give up on Democracy as do many in the past lost their lives look at what our forefathers fought for, we can do the same.
We can defeat this and get past all of this as remember it’s “We The People” “Ask Not What Your Country Can Do For You” what are we going to do my answer is democracy matters

I know
Democracy, Freedom, No oligarchy
Wow, that's a powerful message. I don't often get chills listening to music, but I did today. Thank you for posting
