The Established Republicans need to be educated or talked with about how the Radicalized Republicans are destroying our country, truly doing damage. And, this damage is not what an Established Republican wants. The idea of MAGA Republicans needs to addressed because they are not making America great again and it is a fake concept. Get after the ER and talk with them and we can reclaim our freedoms.
While it is probably a good idea to plan for various scenarios regarding the presidency, I am sure that the Heritage Foundation has already done contingency planning for the death of Trump while he is in office. Vance will step in and the rest of the pawns will move up one place on the board. All will continue as the Project 2025 script requires. We need to be prepared for the Project to kick into gear automatically.
Lincoln was right when he advised that, to change minds, one must be on the same wavelength as the person across from you. Facts don’t work, condescension ruffles feathers, anger begets anger. This piece of planning for the future healing of rifts needs a lot more study and education, as very few people know how to listen, reflect back, share perspectives, and then bring up one’s differing outlook objectively.
Speaking for myself, this is a challenging necessity, as it means one must somehow let go of anger and judgement while talking with someone with multiple irrational biases, e.g., racism. It is harder to do than one would think!
The face of our country and our laws has changed drastically, in just half a year. It is frightening to contemplate what our democratic republic will be in a year. Our finances have been bled, our experts in the sciences and in diplomacy have been dismissed, and the toddlers and miscreants now in charge, as they play at being Big Boss BigShot, are making up the rules day by day with a shoot-now, aim-later blindness to consequences.
I will work at finding some optimism, if there is any to find in this living nightmare.
Trump dies, we get JDVance. Trump dying does not leave a vacuum. It only puts a person in place who is socially clumsy and will alienate Trump's heart broken MAGAts, but who is so steeped in Project 2025, the Heritage Foundation, and Opus Dei patriarchal authoritarianism, the evil currently coming from the White House will be overshadowed. I despise Trump but given what is lined up to follow, I want him to live a long and erratic life.
