Reread James Michener’s Kent State. How the locals spread hateful rumors about the corpses or bodies of the students who were brought to the hospital and morgue. I.e. “The women didn’t shave.” “They were nasty…” Like they deserved it.
It would seem that the Stephen Miller’s of the world cannot wait for that kind of local horror at every American courthouse in the country.
Chaos. For no good reason. Lives and family legacies, decimated.
Thank you for sharing your story and the beautiful memories. They resonate with my memories of growing up in New York in the early 1950s.
I was in college and protesting the Vietnam War when the violence at Kent State Erupted. Life changed forever after that as your music reminds us. I look forward to hearing more from you! RESIST!
As terrible as it may sound, I'm grateful you call it a death. To me, that's exactly what it is. Our constitutional republic is absolutely dead. My country, flawed as it was, has been replaced by fascism. Fascism!!! Now I wonder... how long before I'm sent to a concentration camp for protesting the imcompetent horrors promulgated by this regime? Not sure. I'm seriously doubting we'll have free and fair elections. Then how do we rebuild our constitutional republic? I look forward to your series.
I will never surrender. I will not give in. Born in 1952 and will fight to my last breath. Our country is indeed circling the drain, but we aren’t done yet.
Very sad 😭😢 anthem for OUR USA 🇺🇸…& Drumpf & his evil 👿 cronies are taking our country away from all of us😲
“Trump’s disgrace” is America’s. National self-harm, courtesy of a most peculiar Dixie diaspora infecting the heartland.
E I have not heard of the term Dixie diaspora" .. very apt. It rings true to this Southerner!

I remember the hate for hippies...now transfered to any non-"pale face" , LGBTQ+ and the "Deportees"
